Elvio Tintero Vino Rosato, Piedmont, Italy 2025
This property has been producing wine since 1900, when Pierre Tintero moved from France to Piedmont to find work, and ended up finding love instead. He married the widowed Rosina Corsina and the two revived her family vineyards and began producing wine. Their son later took the reigns and shifted their main focus to Moscato production, but they still grow local red varietals like Barbera and Nebbiolo, and produce an excellent refreshing rosé from Barbera with a touch of Arneis and Moscato. This one is a bit spritzy, with about half the carbonation you might see in a Prosecco, but bone dry.
Pairing: Light appetizers, Date night!
Grapes: 85% Barbera, 12% Arneis, 3% Moscato
Soil: Clay Limestone
