Terlano Nova Domus Terlaner, Alto Adige, Italy 2021
Terlano Nova Domus Terlaner, Alto Adige, Italy 2021
A classic Alto Adige white blend offering a refined mix of crisp pear, candied lemon, white peach and honeydew on the nose- lifted by flinty mineral notes, delicate florals and subtle herbal tones. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand and slowly fermentation in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees for 6 - 7 months partly in steel tanks (80%) and partly in big wooden barrels (20%). Cantina Terlano winery was founded in 1893 and is now one of the leading wine growers’ cooperatives in South Tyrol with a current membership of 143 growers working a total area of 190 hectares. The palate is silky yet clean, combining ripe orchard fruit with bright, racy acidity and a distinct saline-mineral backbone. The taste remains on the palate with a persistent wet-stone impression. The texture is medium-bodied with both freshness and substance and captures the hallmark Alpine clarity of Terlan’s whites and pairs beautifully with seafood, grilled fish, light poultry, fresh salads, or soft, creamy cheeses.
