Skerk produces this skin-contact white from an ancient local strain of Malvasia that has grown in the Carso region, near the border with Slovenia, since before recorded history. Of course, no modern chemicals have ever been used in these vineyards, and the organic grapes are harvested by hand and fermented on the skins with their native yeasts. The wine is aged in neutral oak, and is not fined nor filtered and is bottled without sulphites. This is a true OG orange wine, and the indigenous Malvazija offers gorgeous aromas of ginger, cloves, and white flowers.
