Gadais 'Peninsula Vielles Vignes' Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, Loire Valley, France 2022

Muscadet “Péninsula” Vieilles Vignes from Christophe and Pierre-Henri Gadais is simply outstanding. The superb bouquet wafts from the glass in a briny mix of breadfruit, lemon, wet stone minerality, briny ocean breeze, citrus peel, a touch of sweet leesy tones and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is bright, complex and full-bodied, with a lovely core, superb mineral drive and cut, lovely focus and a long, poised and seamlessly balanced finish. This is beautiful Muscadet! 2023-2050. - John Gilman
