Located in Chavot in the Côteaux Sud d'Epernay, a sub-region sandwiched between the Côtes des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne, the estate is run by Aurélien Laherte, who took over from his parents in 2005. The estate has become one of the most progressive and dynamic rising stars in the appellation. Technically he purchases fruit from other domaines to make his wines, however he is "purchasing" from his aunts and uncles who inherited parts of the original estate, only to bypass some French laws. A blend of 50% Chardonnay (1/3 Chardonnay Muscaté) from Chavot parcel of Les Chemins d’Epernay planted in 1957, and 50% Pinot Noir from Chavot parcel of Les Rouge Maisons planted in 1983. In the cellar the primary fermentation in neutral barrels from Burgundy, aged 6 months with regular lees stirring, no malo, minimum of 3 years aging in bottle.

Grapes: Chardonnay & Pinot Noir 

Soil: Les Chemins d'Epernay has cay soils with a lsilt stratum in surface and a chalky subsoil, whereas Les Rouges Maisons has deeo clay topsoil with flint, schist and a chalk subsoil.
