Campo Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina 2024
Campo Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina 2024
Cristian Allamand has vineyards in the Mendoza regions of Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, at 900-1,000 meters elevation, from vines between 11 and 28 years old. In Lujan de Cuyo he has access to his grandparents' vineyard in Perdriel, and his mother's vineyard in Carrizal, which are both managed organically. Grapes are hand-picked, mostly de-stemmed, fermented in steel with natives yeasts and aged in a mix of steel tanks and neutral oak. The wines are balanced and traditional, with a low-intervention approach in the cellar that captures beautiful aromatics.
