Kelley Fox "Mirabai" Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2023
Kelley Fox "Mirabai" Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon 2023
Kelley Fox is a Willamette local who has been engrossed in the Oregon wine world for over 25 years. With access to some of the best vineyards in the region, she's able to work with top-quality fruit in a no-frills style that lets the grapes decide what they want to become each year.
Kelley's Mirabai Pinot Noir is from dry-farmed, own-rooted, old vines in Dundee Hills and does not see any new oak. Smooth and expressive and crunchy and low-key gorgeous... The kind of Oregon wine that humbly rivals Burgundy that costs twice as much, but would never say that because it's just Oregon Pinot and needs to take its dog for a walk in the woods, bye!
Pairing: Grilled mushrooms, Duck spring rolls
Grape: Pinot Noir from from 35-50 year old vines in Maresh and Weber vineyards in Dundee Hills
Soil: Bellpine soil composed of ancient marine sediment
