The state of Jalisco is world-famous as the only place in which Tequila can legally be produced. This fame overshadows some of the other unique spirits produced in this region of Mexico, including agricole rum. Pelacañas uses fresh-pressed juice from sugar cane grown in the volcanic terroir of their estate near Volcan de Tequila. After traditional fermentation in wood, the spirit is distilled in a copper pot still.

Pelacañas blanco offers all the agricole complexity of grassy tropical fruits with a distinctly Mexican flair and a smooth finish that tequila drinkers will enjoy. Agricole is still an acquired taste, but this is an agricole that will appeal to tequila fans, and a rum that agricole fans will go bananas for.
