Bernhard Ott is not stranger to the Wagram with family ties to the region dating back to 1889.  He has been managing the property since 1993.  He has made many changes in the winery, including conversion to biodynamic viticulture and the use of old Stockinger barrels. Ott's entry-level Gruner 'Am Berg' is always a pure expression of Austria's most famous varietal, made with no less attention than their higher level wines. It offers notes of chopped nuts, fresh herbs, and quince, with crisp but structured minerality.
