Clos Cibonne 'Tentations' Rosé, Côtes de Provence, France 2024
Clos Cibonne is a historic estate located just 800 meters away from the coast. It was once owned by a marine captain to Louis XVI, but in 1979, it was purchased by the Roux family, who brought it to fame. Their Cuvée Tradition rosé is highly respected amongst wine collectors due to its texture, substance, and ability to age gracefully for over a decade. The vineyard boasts traditional gobelet-trained vines and is situated in the foothills of the Maure mountains overlooking Toulon's harbor and the Mediterranean Sea.
Cibonne's 'Tentations' rosé is a lighter style for everyday summer sipping. Most of the fruit is grown by Clos Cibonne's neighbors and close friends in Provence, but the Tibouren still comes from Cibonne's own young vines. Grapes are direct-pressed, and the must is fermented at low temperature in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for two months.
