This is a pear cider that drinks like a wine... like a Champagne even! Eric Bordelet was a famous Chef Sommelier in Paris in the 1980's until he returned to his family estate in Normandy to manage the orchards and produce some of the finest cider of the modern era. He works with trees that are as old as 300 years, using only organic and biodynamic methods and no synthetic chemicals of any kind. Bordelet's 'Poiré Authentique' is a sparkling cider made from heirloom varieties of 50 year-old pear trees. Made in a traditionally off-dry, sparkling style that works brilliantly with goat cheese. Perfect as a quaffable aperitif, accompaniment to a variety of foods on the dinner table, or for something light and tasty any time of day.
