Campo Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina 2020
Campo Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina 2020
Cristian Allamand has vineyards in the Mendoza regions of Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, at 900-1,000 meters elevation. In Lujan de Cuyo he has access to his grandparents' vineyard in Perdriel, and his mother's vineyard in Carrizal, which are both managed organically. Grapes are hand-picked, mostly de-stemmed, fermented in steel with natives yeasts and aged in neutral oak. The wines are balanced and traditional, with a low-intervention approach in the cellar that captures beautiful aromatics.
