Gabriella, Elisa, and Liliana Burlotto are at the helm of Castello di Verduno, a property with a winemaking history dating back to 1909. Today they produce remarkable wines with a combination of tradition, a natural approach, and great competence. While the Alba area of Piedmont is more known for Nebbiolo wines such as Barbaresco, the traditional Pelaverga grape has a lot to offer and should be on your radar, especially if you enjoy chillable reds with some character. Expect a nose full of dry red fruit and floral tones, with a light and soft body that makes it very easy drinking.
