The Sumeire family has held their vineyards in central Provence since the 13th century, making the classic wines of the region; red, white, and rosé (of course).  A recent addition to their line-up is this orange wine made from their Ugni Blanc grapes, also known in Italy as Trebbiano. A full 21-day maceration in chilled tanks extracts the subtle flavors and skin color of this white varietal. The final wine is clarified to create a light and easy-going skin-contact wine that is not hazy. With only a slight bite and crisp aromas of quince and citrus zest, this is a perfect orange wine for the uninitiated or anyone who wants a crowd-pleasing orange.
