Gérard Boulay 'Chavignol' Sancerre, France 2024
This family domaine of 9ha located in Chavignol can trace its history back to 1380. Gerard has been farming organically since 1990, and he's a strong believer that the wine is made in the vineyard and tries not to interfere with the natural process, as he likes to say - “C’est la nature qui fait le vin”. For his entry level Sancerre the grapes are a blend of young vine parcels on kimmeridgian slopes in the village of Chavignol.
