Grosjean Fumin, Valle d'Aoste, Italy 2020
Grosjean Fumin, Valle d'Aoste, Italy 2020
The Grosjean family is rooted in the Valle d'Aoste village of Fornet, in the high mountain passes known as 'Valgrisenche' where they have always raised cattle. Today they farm 7 hectares of vineyard, planted entirely with indigenous varietals. Fumin is a grape rarely seen outside of the Italian and Swiss alpine regions, but it produces very full-bodied reds with deep savory and black fruit notes. An unbeatable winter red that will please any lover of Bordeaux or Cab Sauv, but with the energy and power of the Italian Alps.
Pairings: Raclette over fingerling potatoes, Whole roast Duck
