Koehler-Ruprecht's history dates back to the 1700s, but only within the last 30 years has the winery gained the attention it deserves. Dominik Sona has propelled the property to nearly cult status amongst enophiles. Sona vowed to allow the vineyards to speak for themselves in every glass. This bottle is a perfect introduction to classic Pinot Noir from Germany, for those who are not familiar. The nose dances lightly with pretty fruit, atop a subtle tannin structure with just the right touch of wet earth notes.  Best enjoyed with a little chill.
