Bandol is a southern French region tucked away in the greater Provence area, but the rosé there is an entirely different experience from your typical Provence rosé. At once serious and refreshing, bone dry but much fuller in body, with a red-fruited nose accented by more savory and herbal notes. The Bastide Blanche estate is about 7 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, planted in the hills around Mt. Sainte-Baume. All of their vineyards are managed organically and grapes are hand-harvested.
