Luxardo Maraschino is a classic cocktail ingredient and a must-have for any pre-prohibition era bar.  Traditionally a Croatian product made from the local sour Marasca cherry, it has been produced just across the Adriatic Sea in Italy since the Luxardo factory moved in 1945. 

This clear liqueur has a dense sweetness and powerful aroma of dry sour cherry with hints of white chocolate and vanilla.  It brings a classic kirsch note to cocktails, and even to baked goods and fruit salad.  Unmistakable and irreplaceable; a little bit goes a long way.
