Minakata Junmai Cho-Karakuchi (Extra Dry) Sake, Kyoto, Japan
Minakata Shuzo was established in 1884 in Wakayama, and has been family-owned for nearly 150 years. Minakata produces this exceptionally dry Sake in their Sekai Itto line, made of the renowned Yamada Nishiki rice fermented to complete dryness. This rice varietal produces rich sake that can reach higher alcohol contents to create sake with full body but no sweetness. Great as a pairing for heavier dishes that would usually be paired with grape wines.
