Three friends started what would become Nashville Barrel Company in 2018, to take their love of single-barrel whiskey selection to another level, and help combat the growing trend of quality Bourbon becoming allocated and prohibitively expensive. After their first large-scale purchase and bottling of select Bourbon barrels, their initial releases quickly gained hype. In early 2020 they released their first single barrel rye, which met strong demand from likeminded whiskey hunters who understand that some of the best whiskeys actually come from tasting and blending several barrels. This cask-strength rye was produced for the New York market from select barrels of 5 to 9 year-old rye distilled at MGP that were aged between 5 and 9 years. No flashy labels here, just darn good rye whiskey dialed in for a balance of smoothness and classic rye spice and focus.
