We know what you’re thinking: Another ultra-zingy, abrasively acidic Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand… but this wine is something else! Allan Scott has been in the NZ wine industry since the 1970s and his expertise and understanding of the region, and Sauvignon Blanc, is clearly on point. Classic passionfruit and grapefruit flavors are here, but because Scott waits for the ultimate ripeness of fruit and has the patience to undergo some time aging the wine on lees, the result is rich and juicy with tropical notes of melon and starfruit and a much rounder texture than your average NZ white.
