Shodoshima 'BiBiBi' Honjozo Sake, Kagawa, Japan

Shodoshima Shuzo is situated on a small island in the southeastern Kagawa region of Japan. The island is known for its olive groves and sandy beaches, and this sake is reminiscent of both. The distinct dry style with it's subtle olive brine note makes this the ideal sake for clean and salty seafood, and is endearingly referred to in our shop as the 'dirty Martini lover's Sake'.

'Honjozo' is a category of sake that contains brewer’s alcohol and has a minimum rice polishing ratio of 70%. 'Tokubetsu' denotes a sake made with specialty rice varietals and typically a higher rice polishing ratio, which separates it from a brewery's standard offerings.
