Tinto Amorio would not exist were it not for a fateful car accident, leaving founder Anish Patel questioning his life choice as an investment banker. He decided instead to become a monk. No, wait... then he decided he really liked monks, but actually being a monk wasn't for him. The logical next step was to become a humble winemaker and a put a stylized image of a monk on the label. So here we are, with one less investment banker, one less monk, but with a delicious organic California orange wine in hand. Everything happens for a reason! 

Made from nothing but organic grapes, started with semi-carbonic maceration, then crushed and dosed with a tenth of organic Zinfandel, then fermented on the skins. That's it, other than the lightest touch of SO2 at bottling. No fining and only a coarse filtration under a Healdsburg full moon leaves this orange wine with a lusciously hazy look and feel. There is a ton of juicy stone fruit on the nose that makes this the wine equivalent of biting into a ripe peach.
