In 2010, Yorick and Sophie Lavaud acquired the beautiful Domaine Les Carmels vineyard deep in the Bordeaux wine region, where they diligently cultivate their grapes through organic farming methods and use responsibly sourced materials for their home and winery. Their vineyards are primarily in and around Cadillac, where varietals such as Merlot and Malbec benefit from the rich clay soils. 

This 100% Malbec cannot technically be labeled as Bordeaux, although it is expertly grown and crafted in Bordeaux. Gentle extraction and aging in sandstone vessels instead of oak result in an exquisite and pleasurably smooth wine. A full-bodied yet refreshing red bursting with fruit, this pairs seamlessly with grilled meats or BBQ.
