The reputation of Thibault Morey has risen to a cult-like status since he took over the family estate in 2009. This exceptional Chassagne-Montrachet blanc comes entirely from a 0.8-hectare lieu-dit parcel known as 'Les Houilléres' (the 'coal mines' in English). The south-facing site was planted in the mid-1950s and mid-1970s, with some replanting in 2019, and is quite close to the Encégnières and Vide-Bourse 1er Crus.

Vinified entirely in steel, then aged in 228 and 350 L French Allier oak barrels for 12 months, of which 35% are new. Bottled unfiltered. Chiseled and brimming with minerality, this is a generously hedonistic white Burgundy, even by Morey-Coffinet standards.
