Typical of Barbera from Monferrato, with good body but a less serious character compared to Barbera from Alba or even Asti. A harmonious wine, fresh and easy to drink, with light cherry, black plum, and subtle spice on the nose. Made with organic and biodynamic methods throughout the entire winemaking process, this wine sees no oak whatsoever, and no sulfur is used in the cellar or at bottling. Naturally occurring sulfites leave this wine at a minuscule ~8 ppm SO2. This a dream value for anyone in search of organic or sulfite-free reds in a traditional style.
