Domaine Glinavos grows traditional Greek varietals, including Bekari, in the mountainous northwest region of Ioannina. Though the focus is on indigenous grapes the winemaking is world-class, as Lefteris Glinavos studied winemaking in Bordeaux before founding his estate. He coaxes elegant black fruit from the Bekari grape while preserving the proper balance of acidity from the high altitude site.
