Enderle & Moll 'Basis' Pinot Noir, Germany 2021
Enderle & Moll 'Basis' Pinot Noir, Germany 2021
Sven Enderle and Florian Moll founded Enderle & Moll in 2007, which consists of 5 hectares of vineyards in Münchweier, a historic winemaking village on the slopes of the Black Forest in Baden, Germany. They practice low intervention, organic and biodynamic viticulture. The wine is gently rounded by aging 12-15 months in 228-liter barrels, previously used by famous producers in Burgundy that constantly want to have new oak and sell off their older stock.
Enderle & Moll wines are vibrant and energetic, and have rightfully acquired quite a cult following. The “Basis” is from the youngest vines, around 30 years old. Rustic, dark and cherry fruited, with lovely crushable tannins.
