Idlewild crafts wines that are an honest expression where they come from, embracing the movement of growing Italian varietals in California's decidedly Mediterranean climate.  Sam Bilbro is passionate about the region he calls home, and the idea that winemaking can be part of the preservation of the natural world.  His family are the founders of nearby Marietta Cellars, but Sam has forged his own path by partnering with Ruth Lewandoski of Wild Ruth Farming to source his grapes from her organically managed vineyards.  The result is pure wines with a decidedly Italian flair.  

"The Bee" is the white blend in Idlewild's "Flora and Fauna" label.  It's dry and medium-bodied, with a nose of honey and lemon and a clean finish with crisp acidity.
