Le Puy is located at the second highest point in the Gironde. The estate has been run by the Amoreau family since 1610. Today they are certified biodynamic and and certified organic. They have the utmost respect for the land, producing a wine of silky tannin and seductive elegance.
Pairing: A holiday meal, beef bourguignon
Grapes: 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Carmenère - 50 year old vines.
Viticulture: Certified Biodynamic, low sulfur
Soil: Red clay, silt, and limestone top soils on top of the Asteries limestone plateau that extends to Château Le Puy from Saint Émilion.
