Viña Zorzal Garnacha Blanca, Navarra, Spain 2020
Brothers Xabi, Iñaki, and Mikel Sanz had the vision to break away from their family's traditional methods to start a project dedicated to a holistic approach to winemaking. Their belief that wine is made at the vineyard has led them to focus on native varieties, single parcels, single vineyards, and the terroir of Fitero, this subzone of the D.O. Navarra. The result is wines showing great expression and purity of grape. If you're looking for a wine to keep on repeat this fall, look no further, this Garnacha Blanca is perfect with squash and roasted poultry.
Pairing: Roasted chicken, squash ravioli, or a simply hang by the fire.
Grape: Granacha Blanca
Soil: Stony and rocky soils with clay, limestone, and conglomerates
