We love easy drinking; refreshing Cabernet Franc and Lizieres from Clotilde Legrand is just that. Intensely aromatic, with notes of dry fruits and a mineral core. The fruit is persistent without being voluptuous, while the silky tannins and long-lasting red and black berry notes give this wine plenty of complexity. Clotilde is the first woman to make wine in the Legrand family, some of the earliest producers of the Saumur-Champigny appellation. Grab a charcuterie board with stinky cheeses, and you're all set for the evening.
