Ruppert Leroy is located in the village of Essoyes in the Aube, just a few kilometers from the Burgundian border. Bénédicte is the second generation winemaker and together with her father, Bénédicte has transformed the domaine from organic to biodynamic without the use of sulfur since 2013. Papillon is a sélection massale planting of Pinot Noir that is an extension of the Fosse-Grely vineyard. Papillon is an exquisite Blanc de Noirs bursting with red fruits, earthly decadence, violets, and an impenetrable mineral core.

Viticulture: Biodynamic, natural, no added sulfur
Soil: Clay-Limestone with a majority of red clay
